Captain Cook’s Casino Review

November 29th, 2008 by admin

I’m no stranger to casino gaming, living as I do within half an hour of several Native American reservations, each with a well-promoted casino; but, when a buddy suggested I use one an online gaming site to sharpen my skills before a Saturday-night trip to one, I was skeptical.  Skeptical, that is until I went to Captain Cook’s Casino.

What a surprise.  From the moment I downloaded their easy-to-use enabling software and set up an account using a drop down menu until I started my first game from among 293 available games (Yes, 293, but more about that in a moment), not more than ten minutes elapsed.  And I’m allocating two minutes for the software download and installation process over broadband.  The only delay between software download and the first hand?  My own decision-making process, i.e. which of those 293 games did I want to use for my personal beta test?  Incidentally, I’m a killer at Power Poker.
It was easy to get started and quite intuitive.  Being a casino regular, I applied my system and racked up valuable points that translated into instant winnings and increases to my bank account.  How does that work?
Here’s all anyone has to do to begin playing the game of your choice at the skill-level you chose.  First of all, you have the easy software download and set-up I already mentioned.  Most casino game sites use similar products, though they’re unique to each site.  I like Captain Cook because it’s compact yet robust.
Anyway, I loaded the software, and then followed instructions to set up an account using my personal credit card or one of six international payment systems, which I did.  The site gave me a username, unique to the kind of account I wanted, and we set a password; and I was off and running, with a secure account and playing Power Poker for keeps.
Incidentally, to open an account, all you need to do is fund your playing with a deposit from any of three major credit cards, a wire transfer or other means typically available to US players.
So, in my first session, barely an hour long, I racked up serious winnings, if I do say so myself, and once again had some choices:  leave the take in an account or withdraw some and still leave a deposit for my next session.  I chose a “wallet”, Captain Cook’s method for speeding movement of cash from their account to mine.
And, like many casinos these days, there is an affinity program called the VIP Club where I earn points convertible into chips for additional plays.  But that’s a whole other story, as they say.  I can’t think of a better online gaming site to establish loyalty with than
Captain Cook’s Casino
